As part of my development work for painting using oil and acrylic on canvas, I’ll be using photographs I took today to help me improve on my accuracy for painting secondary source. I’ve chosen to paint the Lord Tennyson statue because of its historical place in Lincoln, as the statue represents the famous poet and his dog. I like how the statue has depth with expression on Lord Tennyson’s face, as he holds leafs in his hand from the Autumn fall.

The chosen photos from the collection below will be used for grid drawing on canvas (a simpler way of accurate drawing), which will then be painted using Oil or Acrylic paint.

I’ll be posting an update soon on my progress with the canvas paintings, with photos of the progress.

Thank you for reading this post. If you have any questions, post a comment below and I’ll reply back as soon as I can. Thanks!
